On every engagement

Our CREST-certified ethical hackers attack your systems the way a real adversary would, chaining weaknesses together to establish what is genuinely exploitable rather than what merely appears on a scanner report. Testing is controlled, agreed in writing and delivered under NDA, so you can share findings internally without hesitation.
Engagements are scoped around the systems that carry the most risk, whether that is a customer-facing booking platform, a payment flow, a new application about to launch, or the internal estate behind a recently migrated cloud environment. If you are unsure what needs testing, we will tell you honestly what we would test and why.
Penetration Testing
"CREST and CHECK-qualified ethical hacking across networks, applications, APIs and people, to find exploitable weaknesses before a real adversary does."

Testing follows recognised frameworks including OWASP, PTES, MITRE ATT&CK and NIST SP 800-115, and is carried out by CREST and CHECK-qualified professionals.
we map the attack surface, model the threats that apply to your sector, and agree realistic attack scenarios so testing reflects the adversary you actually face.
manual exploitation, not automated running, focused on the systems, applications and network segments that matter most, including privilege escalation, lateral movement and data access paths.
each finding is rated with CVSS scoring and translated into commercial terms, covering likelihood, business impact, exploitation difficulty and the data at risk, so leadership understands the consequence, not just the technical detail.
prioritised recommendations, proof-of-concept evidence, a walkthrough with your developers, and a free retest so you can prove to clients, insurers and auditors that each issue has genuinely been closed.
Reporting is written for three audiences at once. There is an executive summary for leadership, a technical section for developers with reproduction steps and evidence, and an assurance statement for clients or insurers. Nothing is padded with scanner output, and each issue is scored on exploitability and business impact rather than a numeric rating alone, so triage conversations stay short. We can also attend a remediation workshop with your development team where that speeds up the fix.

Coverage across the entry points real attackers use, tested manually and evidenced with reproduction steps, impact and a clear fix.

A test is only worth commissioning if it changes something. Every engagement produces deliverables your leadership, developers, clients and insurers can each use.
A plain-English risk overview for leadership, covering what was exploitable, what an attacker could have reached and what it would have cost the business.
Full findings with reproduction steps, request and response evidence and the specific remediation each issue requires, written for the people doing the fixing.
Fixes sequenced by exploitability and business impact, with effort estimates so internal teams and developers can plan the work realistically.
A walkthrough with your engineering team, so fixes are implemented correctly the first time rather than misread from a document.
Written confirmation of the test, its scope and its outcome, suitable for clients, insurers and procurement teams that require independent assurance.
Verification that each issue has been closed, with an updated status report you can pass to auditors or clients.
Findings are delivered through a secure portal, with read access limited to the people you nominate, and the report can be reissued with a remediation status column once fixes are applied. Where you need to show progress to a customer, an insurer or a certification body, we can provide a letter of attestation covering the scope and outcome of the test without exposing the vulnerability detail itself.

If your question is not covered here, a consultant will answer it directly, with no sales script.
Will testing take our systems offline? No. Exploitation is controlled and rate-limited, and destructive checks are explicitly excluded or agreed in advance. Where a test carries any operational risk, it is discussed during scoping and scheduled outside business hours.
Do you need credentials? For most application and internal network tests, authenticated testing gives a far more realistic picture and is strongly recommended. External-only testing is available where credentials cannot be shared, though it only demonstrates what an anonymous attacker can see.
Is testing safe on production? It is when scope is agreed properly. We test production where it matters most, using controlled techniques inside agreed monitoring windows, and we agree an emergency stop process with a named contact before testing begins.
How often should we test? Annually is the common baseline, but a new application, a cloud migration, a major infrastructure change or a new client contract should each prompt a retest of the affected area. We recommend a cadence that fits your risk profile rather than a fixed package.
What happens if you find something critical mid-test? We stop, notify your named escalation contact and agree whether to continue. Critical findings are never held back for the final report.

A penetration test is only worth commissioning if it changes something. Ours are built to produce a clear remediation plan rather than a scare report.
All testing is performed by CREST and CHECK-qualified professionals, aligned to ISO 27001 and OWASP ASVS, with confidentiality guaranteed and no production data retained after the engagement.
You receive an executive summary for leadership, a full technical report for your team, and a prioritised action list with effort estimates. Retesting is included so the fixes can be verified, and we can provide a letter of attestation for clients, insurers or procurement teams that require independent assurance.
Most organisations test annually, but anything that changes your attack surface should prompt a review: a new application, a cloud migration, a major infrastructure change, a new regulatory obligation or a serious industry incident. We will recommend a cadence based on your risk profile, the data you hold and your clients' expectations, not on a sales target.

Client reviews
We use Acorn Web Studio for all our website maintenance and SEO marketing for our car body shop repair business. Since they have taken over the SEO we have seen an increase in business locally, which is what we were after. We will soon have them redesign our website.

We are a UAE Dubai based business. We needed a new website built to showcase our products and provide information through our website to our clients. At the same time we required digital marketing to be carried out, in particular SEO and LinkedIn Marketing. We partnered with Acorn Web Studio in the UK because the agencies in the UAE let us down time after time. Since we started our working relation we have not looked back. They not only built our website but uploaded 100 products and improved our SEO Google position and LinkedIn profile.

Acorn Web Studio built our new website after we had several issues with our old one and had no support from our previous designer based overseas. They built us a new website and now support us with ongoing maintenance and SEO. Highly recommended.
